The Flophouse has garnered an international reputation for its unique style and beauty. It was listed by the French travel guide Routard as one of the 50 "dream hotels" of the world, it was featured in The New York Times 36 hours in Harlem. It has been a photo shoot/interview location for artists such as Moby, Sharon Jones and Kamasi Washington as well as numerous fashion and film productions.
